[2] Report for duty at the Imperial Service.

Go and retire for the night. Oh, it turns out you won't be sleeping after all. A letter tells you where to go.



[6] Head to the "Murmuring Thunder" pavilion.

You are immediately attacked by a mysterious person. They hit hard! And not all of their attacks are easily deflected.



After the fight, they reveal themselves to be Lieutenant Ming, Zhao Guanyi's soldier. He's waiting at a pavilion. Go and follow Lieutenant Ming.



[7] Speak to the Prefect.

Zhao Guanyi asks why the wanderer went into the Sealed Treasury. The wanderer defends themselves, saying they just went with the flow and besides, they were able to stop the assassin. Lieutenant Ming is part of the Emperor's personal guards. Yikes, that's why they're so strong.



The wanderer has a theory that the break in and everything is all being mastermind-ed by one person. While it may look like they want to steal from the Sealed Treasury, their real target is the Imperial Service.

Seems like the Emperor thinks similarly. They want to hold a banquet for thieves to lure this person out. The wanderer is set to stand guard at the banquet venue to repel any intruders.



[8] Talk to Geng.

A man named Geng is assigned to the wanderer to be their assistant or underling for the mission. They give the wanderer a list of the possible thieves that are coming.



Talk to Geng. While the wanderer complains that the list gives little information for them, Geng shushes them, saying they've got company.



[9] Apprehend the intruder.

Jump to the rooftop and confront the thief, Phantom, the one that got them into all this mess in the first place. The wanderer warns them that those who initially recruited Phantom are waiting on them to come out with the goods before they pounce.



The wanderer says they're glad that the Phantom did come though, and proceeds to use Meridian Touch to immobilize them. Can't have the thieves running free after all.



[10] Report back to Geng.
・He is impressed by your technique.
・He's more capable with small fries, but if the wanderer ever needs any help, they gave them a whistle they can blow to signal him



[11] Go to Shenping Tower.

Go and patrol inside the tower.

Go to the second floor and inspect the 'treasure' meant to lure everyone. While looking it over, a dart is thrown at the wanderer. Check the dart. It warns to not be fooled by sight, but to trust the sounds.



[12] Identify the source of the sound.

The note seems like it's a tip from Geng. Use Wind Sense to locate the source of the sound. It leads the wanderer to the first floor, where someone seems to be using a machine to dig underground. Lie in wait to catch the perpetrators red-handed.

Use Meridian Touch to catch the digger, then summon Geng with the whistle. Geng identifies the kid as the "Ground Ghost."



When the wanderer thanks Geng for the tip with the dart, Geng realizes that they have both been fooled and runs to the entrance of the Tower.

Go to the entrance of Shenping Tower. Seems like the Silken Fox caught both of you in a trap with their diversion. Follow Geng and lead the thief to the Emperor.



[13] Listen to the discussion with the thieves.

At the banquet hall, a voice behind the screen offers the different thieves a proposal. All their previous wrongdoings will be forgiven if starting now, they will not do anything that involves treason or bloodshed.

Eavesdrop on Shi Lelei and Qiu Wangchen. The thieves discuss about their own freedom and whether this means they just become the court's lapdogs.



One of the thieves bring up how would they know that the court would keep their promise. Zhao Guangyi that they just have to gamble that their word is true. Some of the thieves seem receptive to the idea.

Eavesdrop on Huai Feng, Jing Jiu, and Su Shiyu. Talk to Big Zhao afterwards.

Of course, a meeting with thieves will not turn out so pretty. The Silken Fox attacks the 'Emperor" and escapes with their flutework.
