A Brief Respite Walkthrough | Where Winds Meet

The road ahead is treacherous. Any shelter in this desolate waste is a blessing. So why leave this refuge to face the boundless, perilous unknown once more?

[1] Open the Painting to start the Story.

Unroll the "Leaping Fish Scroll" to accept this Main Quest.

[2] Head to the Euphrates Poplar.

After reaching the location, a cutscene shows an elderly man known as Burlap Sack. He is heard murmuring a message intended for Boss Cao.

[3] Go find Handlebar Hu.

Control shifts to Burlap Sack for this segment. Simply follow Handlebar Hu to progress.

Once they arrive at Karez, Hu asks for payment.

The player must first offer a single coin, followed by two coins, and finally surrender Burlap Sack's remaining five coins.

[4] Go with Handlebar Hu to find the Leader.

[5] Sit down and rest.

Looks like Burlap Sack won't get some rest, since Hu orders him to help out as he sits down.

[6] Give the Caravan a Hand.

Help the people around the Caravan by carrying goods, feeding the Camel, and collecting some potatoes.

[7] Talk to Madam Qi.

[8] Wait for the Caravan to depart.

[9] Prepare to set off.

As Big Cao and the group leave, Madam Qi sings a parting song.

The game shifts back to the young wanderer afterward to start the next quest, "Campfire under Stars".
