[1] Open the Painting to Start the Story.

Begin the Paper Moon Questline by accepting this Main Quest in the Leaping Fish Scroll.

[2] Head to the Buddhist Hall.

[3] Push open the Hall Door.

[4] Pray in front of the Wooden Fish.

The scene shifts to Abbess Jiankong talking to Cao Jing Guanyin, who is busy praying. She encourages the young lady to head outside and cherish her youth.

[5] Pick up the Scattered Items:

[6] Continue praying before the Wooden Fish.

Put the scriptures back on the desk and pray.

[7] Talk to the Thief.

Guanyin is caught off guard as an intruder enters the Buddhist Hall and steals her scripture.

[8] Snatch back the Scripture.

Upon interacting with the thief, Guanyin attempts to retrieve her scripture, but he is far too quick for her.

What’s more, the intruder seems to know too much about her personal life—specifically the details of her unwanted arranged marriage.

Since the scripture is missing its other half, the thief can't use it. Guanyin ignores his demand to finish the copy and resumes her prayers.

[9] Leave the Main Hall.

Guanyin alerts Abbess Jiankong and the others about the thief in red, though the intruder has already vanished by the time they enter the room.

Guanyin plans on returning to the Cao Manor for the "Embers of Love" Quest.
