The feast ends, the wine runs dry, and no gathering stays unbroken.

[1] Open the Door.

Push the door open and Lian Daozi sees the Girl gazing down at the lively celebration downstairs.

[2] Talk to the Girl.

The Young Girl gives her usual teasing remarks to Lian Daozi during their conversation.

[3] Join the Feast.

Go down the stairs to join the festivities.

[4] See what everyone is doing.

Qing invites the two to a game. The prize is a Peacock Crown that only the greatest musician can have.

To win the game, they must pick something from home that will last the longest on the journey to Chang'an.

[5] Ask others about their Choices.

[6] Talk to Lai En.

Lian Daozi sees Lai En's injured hand, and the man explains that a storm flipped the boat on his way home, but it is better now.

He asks if Lai En knows his choice, and the man responds that it is closer than Lian Daozi thinks.

[7] See everyone's Choices.

Time's up! Everyone placed their hometown object on the drum. Talk to them to learn their choices.

[8] Learn Lian Daozi's choice.

Qing asks Lian Daozi why hasn't he placed anything down yet.

[9] Borrow a Konghou from the Musician.

He submits a Konghou and explains that it's not the fragile instrument that would last the longest, but the song that can outlive them all.

Clearly, he wins the competition! "The Longing and the Loss" Quest starts after the cutscene.
