You find a man bowing repeatedly at the General's Shrine.

[1] Check on the person kneeling before the shrine

・Look at the General's Shrine, and you will see a man bowing repeatedly at the shrine. Come over to him and talk to him. He'll immediately collapse and you will have the option to Kick his bottom or Pat him gently, either works fine.

[2] Investigate the book on the ground.

・After waking him up, he'll leave and drop a book on the ground. Pick it up.

[3] Check suspicious floor

・Look to the left of the shrine, there is a floor surrounded by Nightshade and two NPCs, Rock and Fantuan. When you go there, you will be prompted to break the rock. If you're playing on PC, press spacebar and then Q; if you're playing on a controller, double jump and press L3.

[4] Get the fire arrow from the chest

・You are now in some underground chamber. Across from you is a chest filled with quivers. Pick them up.

[5] Burn vines on the wall with a fire arrow

・With the fire arrows restocked, aim your fire arrows to the left of the chest where you will see a wall covered in vines. Shoot the fire arrow and burn it. Head further down the hall.

[6] Ignite the oil lamp on the wall with fire arrows

・It's hard to see, but just follow the golden marker in-game and aim and shoot the fire arrow there.

[7] Explore the underground of the General's Shrine

・Head further down the hall, but be careful! There are bandits down here, Tiger Fort Bandits. Defeat them as you make your way through the underground. There will be a fork in the path, search left and you will fight a bandit for a chest. Head right, and you will need to burn more vines with fire arrows.

[8] Ignite the Explosive Barrel with a Fire Arrow

・If you look down, you will overhear some bandits, but you will also see three barrels each with an X on them stacked on top of each other. These are explosive barrels, so use your fire arrows to light them up! Head further down and you will find a Hero's Tomb, and west of that is a suspended bridge.

・[9] Use a fire arrow to ignite the vines on the hanging bridge

・Look up and follow the quest marker. It's hard to see again, but there are vines that are holding up the suspended bridge. Shoot a fire arrow at them and bring the bridge down. Head further down and you will be blocked by some rubble.

[10] Light the explosive barrel to blast the rocks

・Just before the rubble, there is a wooden device. Activate it and it will release a small exlosive barrel. Select "Explosive Barrel" to pick it up and then place it near the rubble. Step away from the rubble, prepare your fire arrow, and shoot the barrel to open up the path.

・[11] Explore the underground of the General's Shrine (cont'd) When you do, you will alert the bandits behind the rubble so get ready to defeat them. Once you do, go to the stone door next to the sole explosive barrel. Push it open and head further down. Turn right first, though, and burn the vines with a fire arrow to claim a chest. Now, head on down.

[12] Examine the corpse

・You will see a towering flight of stairs, but on the foot of it is a corpse. Select "Investigate" and you will recieve the skill, Cloud Steps. Climb the stairs and push the stone door open.

[13] Defeat the Tiger Fort Bandits

・Beyond the door is a shrine, and some bandits. Defeat them. You can also shoot the explosive arrows and slow down time to defeat the archers on the second floor. After defeating them, you will immediately encounter the boss, Zhang Lang. Defeat him to progress.

[14] There's something written on the stone tablet.

・Once you have defeated Zhang Lang, you will have to examine the sone tablet. Before you do, open the golden chest to the right of the tablet. Now you can examine the stone tablet.

[15] Kowtow three times on the grass mat

・Head to the grass mat, it's easy to spot since it's green. Interact with it. Don't worry, the game says you will have to do it three times so just trust it. The statue will then move revealing another hidden passage.

[16] There's something behind the statue

・Go to the passage revealed by the statue and you will find a hidden box. Open it. Before leaving, try climbing the statue to gain a point of observation.

[17] Continue exploring the underground of the General's Shrine

・You're not done yet, head to the second floor where the other explosive barrels are. Follow the quest marker andfurther north there is a chest to claim. Push the stone door to go to another hallway. There are two more chests to claim, one behind the rubble to the right, and another you can find when following the path with the quest marker. Walk down the dark path to find a ladder, climb it and you will return to the surface.

[18] Pay respects to the General's Statue

・Before leaving the house you are in, claim the chest in there! Push the doors aside and you will be back at the General's Shrine. There's a chest behind the statue of the shrine, so claim it and then you can pay your respects at the marked location and complete the side story.
