[1] Open the Painting.

 Use the "Leaping Fish Scroll" again and accept this Quest.

[2] Look for traces of the Burlap Sack.

Head to the marked location on the in-game map to progress.

[3] Follow the Caravan.

Burlap Sack continues traveling with the Caravan until a cutscene shows an ambush by a group of bandits.

Even Burlap Sack is not spared from the bandits' mockery and interrogation. His true identity is forcibly revealed to everyone in the Caravan.

The Bandit Leader inspects these items that gives him a clue on who Burlap Sack is:

For unknown reasons, The Bandit Leader decides to spare the Caravan after getting the Dali Coin.

[4] Look for your Items.

Now that the Bandits are gone, search for Burlap Sack's belongings next to some barrels.

Burlap Sack is approached by Big Cao afterward. The Caravan's leader makes the tough call to leave him behind.

Even as the elderly man begs for his life, Big Cao and the others depart.

[5] Get the Copper Coins.

Investigate the ground near the stump where Handlebar Hu placed the coins.

[6] Chase the Caravan.

As Burlap Sack counts his meager coins, he realizes can't survive without any water.

While he desperately attempts to follow the Caravan, the compassionate Xiaolian separates from the group to give him a bag of water.

After the two part ways, Burlap Sack regains a tiny bit of hope to continue his journey for the "Cast into Darkness" Quest.
