[1] Go to the Cao Manor.
The Young Wanderer must travel to the Cao Manor to continue Guanyin's story.

[2] Talk to Guanyin's Grandmother.
Once the scene shifts back to Guanyin, she is seen watching performances alongside her grandmother and father.

Review all of the choices for the next performance, and Guanyin's father expresses his disapproval of every story.

| Han Ping and His Wife | Han Ping married Lady He. King Kang of Song saw her and seized her, imprisoning Han Ping until his death. Lady He then threw herself from a terrace and died. The furious king ordered them buried apart. Overnight, two catalpa trees grew from the graves, their roots and branches intertwining. A pair of mandarin ducks perched in the trees, necks entwined, crying mournfully. The people of Song mourned them, naming them the "Trees of Longing." |
[4] Return to Guanyin's Seat.
After her father leaves, Guanyin sits back again to watch the entertainers.
Guanyin and her grandmother enjoy the Pocketrupt Circus performance and the impressive skill of the rope walker An Liuli despite Guanyin recognizing him as the thief from the temple.
[5] Go on the Stage and take a Seat.
An Liuli invites Guanyin to the stage to witness "true wonders." She accepts the challenge and takes a seat.
[6] Chase An Liuli.
It's a trick! An Liuli takes Guanyin away from the Cao Manor.

[7] Talk to An Liuli.
An Liuli is confused that Guanyin chased him instead of going home. She took this opportunity to retrieve the stolen scripture.
[8] Follow An Liuli.
Guanyin agrees to give the scripture on the condition that An Liuli allows her to come with him and see his true intentions for the sacred text.
[9] Enter the Tent.
Inside the tent, Guanyin discovers that the scripture is needed for Sanniang’s recovery. The two of them burns the scroll to ash, mixes it with water, and gives it to the woman while offering prayers to the Bodhisattva.
[10] Put a Coat on Sanniang.
Sanniang mistakes An Liuli for the man who broke her heart in the past and lashes out at him. Once Sanniang calms down, Guanyin gives her a coat.
[11] Witness An Liuli's Revelation.
Before leaving the tent, An Liuli reveals her true identity as a woman to Guanyin. She learned every technique and illusion from her master's secret manual.
[12] Bid farewell to An Liuli.
An Liuli and Guanyin continue their connection, often leaving gifts for one another as a sign of their growing bond. Gradually, their relationship deepens.
[13] Return to Cao Manor.
[14] Open the Two Boxes.
Back at the Cao Manor, Guanyin opens the various gifts she receives for her upcoming arranged marriage.
[15] Decline the Gifts.
[16] Follow the Bird Call.
An Liuli invites Guanyin to the lantern festival, and they agree to meet once the moon reaches its peak.
After the cutscene, "The Moon She Holds" Quest is unlocked.
