The Last Pilgrim Side Story Full Walkthrough and Details | Where Winds Meet

A warrior who had left to India 30 years ago has now come back as a monk and has been tasked with delivering scriptures and items to the emperor.

[1] Talk to the Eastbound Monk.

He left long ago and travelled to India to follow the scriptures and eventually came back as a monk to deliver items to the emperor. He asks for a way back to Chang'an but is disappointed to learn that the Jade Gate Pass is closed. He remembers he had made friends with some soldiers from the Anxi army 30 years ago and thinks taht maybe they can help him out. He bids the player goodbye and says they'll meet again.

[2] Turn the time to the Zi Hour of the next day.
・The player may also just wait this out

[3] Meet the monk again.

It seems the monk got robbed. He asks for the player's help to retrieve his items. For now, follow the footprints in the sand.

Find the robbers. The player may choose to eavesdrop on them. The game will suggest to use Celestial Seize, however, approaching them makes the player very visible so an outright fight might be unavoidable.

After defeating the thieves, retrieve the Sutra of Ten Grounds, the Sutra of Ten Powers, the Sutra of Merit Transfer, the Relic Casket. Unfortunately, the horse cannot be saved :( Now, return the items to the monk.

[4] Turn the time to the next day again.

[5] Talk to the monk.

He gave his clothes to a pair of brothers so the player decides to build a fire for him by gathering firewood.

Gather 3 dry branches nearby.

[6] Upon returning, eavesdrop on the conversation between the monk and the other person.
・The monk gives the stranger the flatbread he was planning to eat

[7] Make the fire and talk to the monk.
・He reveals he's doing what he can like how the Anxi soldiers used to protect them passing through to deliver the scriptures before

[8] Turn the time again to the next day.

[9] Talk to the monk.

He is parched and the player gives him some water. Besides the scriptures, he seems to have given everything else away or has had it stolen from him.

[10] Finish the Whitecrown Fortress Campaign.
・The next part cannot be done without completing this

**[11] Meet the monk again.

The monk says he saw the Anxi Army and will return to Chang'an, telling people that the Anxi Army never left their post even if no one believes him. In the end, he reveals his name to be "Wukong".
・For those unfamiliar, Sun Wukong is an iconic character from the Chinese story "Journey to the West", and is notably known as "The Monkey King"
