Beauty in the Shade Side Story Full Walkthrough and Details | Where Winds Meet

You find an earring on the road. Asking the nearby passersby, they tell you that it belongs to a beautiful courtesan who is staying at the nearby wagon. Who is this beauty?

[1] Find the Flower Drop Earring by the road in the Flower Expanse.

[2] Talk to the passersby.

Nearby, you will immediately see two passersby. They tell you that the earring belongs to a beautiful courtesan who currently stays in the nearby wagon.

[3] Talk to the courtesan.

She tells you that she has a frail, ailing body. She only wishes to see Qinghe's flowers bloom. However, they met bandits before she could even see them bloom.

Telling her that you can help, she then gives you 3 outposts to clear.

・Gourmand's Grove
・Tiger Fort
・Buddha Fort

Note: Even if you already cleared them before this quest, you need to do it again.

[4] Clear the 3 mentioned Outposts.

[5] Return to the Courtesan.

She acts strangely, telling you about the wonderful scent of blood.

Choosing to lift the carriage curtain, you go into delirium.

"Another curious youth who ignores danger…"

[6] Waking up, find a way out of the room.

You hear someone say you're perfect as a poison puppet. As they leave to find Wen, you are now fully awake.

[7] Escape the village.

These people are from the Aureate Pavilion! The Jiangnan courtesan and the flower admirers are from the Tang forces!

Note: There are chests found in this area. As far as we know, there is currently no known way how to return to it. So, make sure to open the chests before finding Wen.

[8] You find Wen Wushuang who also wants to leave the village. Save him.

[9] Talk to Wen Wushuang.

Once you're far enough, you find out that he thinks the courtesan is the black cat. You receive a Kitty Bell (Appearance item) from him.

[10] Go back to the courtesan.

There is no person nor a cat. You only find a hairpin with the courtesan's note:

When we first met, old bonds still lingered.
This place, this moment—I carry it forever in my heart.
Whether north or south of the river, I pray that fate will bring us together once more.
