In the middle of the night, Qian Feifei tells you about the Phantom Lady. He said he hears a voice of a woman calling for her child, "A'mao— A'mao—." He hasn't had a proper sleep for some time now. Looks like Qian Feifei is being haunted!

[1] Talk to Qian Feifei in the middle of the night.
If it's morning for you, you can adjust at around Zi hour. He tells you about the Phantom Lady who calls for her child, A'mao. He just wants to finally be able to have a proper sleep.

[2] Find Yaoyao for a medicine to help him.
Make sure it's daytime when you look for her. You tell her about Feifei's condition. But she tells you that there might actually be something wrong at the pier. She also tells you about the mother looking for her child every night.

[3] Talk to Liu'er.
He tells you about that very dark night. He locked all his windows and doors, and went to bed with his Snowy, his cat. Suddenly, there was a loud bang. When he checked, everything was a mess and Snowy is gone.

[4] Check Liu'er's house.
・Investigate the fragments
The bottle shattered after falling from a height. It's uncertain whether, as Liu'er said, it was caused by the power of ghosts and spirits.
・Inspect the unsealed window
No straw clogs the window; it's meant for air to flow, its slits so narrow that even a regular hand can't fit through.

[5] Give the cat's whisker to Liu-er.

[6] Talk to Xiaodai.
He tells you his fox doll is up in the sky! He tells you that the Phantom Lady took the doll for her child.

[7] Check the roof.
Pick up the fox doll.

[8] Return the doll to Xiaodai.
The fox doll seems to be wet like it was licked by something. It has a short yellow hair on it.

[9] Talk to A'Liang.
Follow him in the wine cellar while he recounts what happened. He tells you about the small pale feet he saw, and he was scratched on the neck.

[10] Leave the wine cellar.
You notice Feifei is nearby.

[11] Talk to Feifei.
He noticed the effort you're putting in this investigation of the Phantom Lady. In a whisper, he tells you the location of the Phantom Lady.

[12] Head to the Phantom Lady's location at midnight.
You can adjust the time at Zi hour. You will then hear a strange noise.

[13] Find where the strange noise is coming from.

[14] Investigate the tail.

[15] Use Meridian Touch to catch the kittens!

[16] Bring the cats to Yaoyao.
Turns out the "Phantom Lady" are these two cats in heat.

Yaoyao's explanation: It's the sound of a female cat when she's in heat.

Yaoyao's explanation: Snowy is in heat and knocked over some jars while sneaking out to look for a mate.
・Xiaodai's stolen fox doll
Yaoyao's explanation: Male cats are restless during mating season and mistook the doll as a mate.
・The attack on A'Liang
Yaoyao's explanation: A'Liang got too close to their nest, and they don't like that. As for the pale feet? It's snowy's white paws.

Yaoyao tells you that the cats can stay with her in the meantime. Come back for them tomorrow.

[17] Talk to Yaoyao the next day.
You can adjust the time or wait.
She gives you "bells" for Feifei.
You ask what happened to the cats. She only tells you, "Unchecked nature brings disaster; only by cutting it off can peace be restored."

[18] Give the "bells" to Feifei.
You tell him that with these "bells," he will never be afraid again.
