Dead Man's Secret Side Story Full Walkthrough and Details | Where Winds Meet

A trail of bone shards, venom, and vanished healers leads you through Qinghe’s shadows toward a truth only the dead have been keeping.

[1] Talk to Sun Yutang.

He will give the Damaged Manuscript that shows the locations of the 3 Snake King's chests.

[2] Collect all 3 Snake King Bone Shards from the Snake King's chests.

・Use Celestial Seize to take the Snake King's Chest found West of the Back Mountain Boundary Stone.

You will note: Poisonous snakes used to swarm Qinghe, but after a stranger arrived, most vanished. Only those near Encircling Lake stayed behind, seemingly protecting something.

・The next chest is found under the breakable floor northwest of the Encircling Lake. Use celestial seize to take the chest again.

You will note: When the Snake King fell, a physician and a child sought out the stranger. Afterward, only the creature's bones remained. The physician then hid the bones in three places, but the true mystery lies inside the Snake Cave.

・The final chest can be found near the Sun Yutang by the cliff.

You will note: After the stranger came to Encircling Lake, the area saw the rise of unusually aggressive snakes with strange wounds. At their head was the Snake King.

[3] Return to Sun Yutang and give all the shards to him.
He will constuct the Snake King Bone using the shards. This will help you enter the Snake cave without worrying about the snakes biting you.

[4] Enter the cave nearby.

You can find the Old Doctor's Note from the Strange Corpse inside. Here's the note's content:

I have been a healer for decades, saving countless lives. Yet my beloved grandson was bitten by a venomous snake, and no cure could be found.
Holding onto my late uncle's secret remedies, I desperately sought a cure. But the poison had a cruel flaw—it twisted his mind, turning him violent, even fatal to others. I begged him to stop, but in vain. Ashamed to face my ancestors, I destroyed the notes and ended my own life. I pray my grandson awakens and harms no more souls.
