The People's Wish Side Story Full Walkthrough and Details | Where Winds Meet

One's hero's grave may be small, yet it holds the wishes of thousands. Where those wishes gather, that is where peace is born.

Reach Lvl 14 in Solo Mode AND complete Main Story Ch. 3 By Lamplight.

[1] Hit the tumbleweeds to uncover what's hidden inside in the field.

There are balls covered in green leaves near the center of the area. Hit one three times to proceed.

[2] Place the embroidered ball in the lion.

[3] Collect the missing embroidered balls.

Note that that balls will roll away from you as you get near them in the area. Each ball has its own quirk so be prepared for anything!

After collecting the balls, place them in the lion statues' mouths as seen in the maps above.

[4] Head to the source of the strange noise.

Go to the middle of the field and watch the cutscene.

Collect the item left behind.

Go to the lion's mouth and draw on the boulder.

Below is the walkthrough through the dungeon.

Dive into the lion's mouth. You will find yourself inside of a dungeon of sorts. Move forward and through the door.

Be careful! There are traps abound! When you see a lion statue to the side (either side of the large road), make sure to step on the panels furthest away from them, else get caught in their fiery breath! Above is a short guide for the first few panels to help you get a sense of how to move through this puzzle.

Go forward until you reach a room with a giant lion statue in the middle. Draw on the door behind the lion to get the hint of the statue's mechanism.

First, rotate all the smaller statues at the corners to face the same way as the large statue.
Next, obtain the smaller statue on the left of the large statue (facing you) as seen above and install it on the northeastern pedestal. The door should open afterwards.

Follow the golden bird and observe the paintings on the walls.

Keep on going until you find a tomb. Investigate the stone coffin and enter the hidden passage.

Obtain the Door Knocker and place it on the large locked door from before.

The area behind the door is filled with mercury. Follow the left path to find the ash bag.

Now, head to the central platform and touch the jade case.

Activate the lion statue and head towards the painting. Enter the memories within.

[6] Navigate inside the painting.

Enter the room at the end of the hallway and fill out the travel permit inside.

Find the details for your new identity.

Fill it as: Lan He - Flora Expert - Find Poplar Seeds.
Now, give the permit to the innkeeper. They will ask you to destroy your keepsakes: the xiao and the letter.

[7] Navigate through the second painting.

Return to the central platform and activate the lion once again. Enter the new painting.

Examine the joined desk. Return the scroll and the books in their rightful places.

Examine where the shadow vanished. There is a letter that seems to be from Zhang Huaishen to his uncle.

Examine the small statues. Take the Auspicious Horse from the other side of the room and place it on the empty pedestal.

Examine the map behind the showcased statues.
Find 4 small flags at the other side of the room. The first three are behind the Lucky Animal statues. The last one is near the guqin at the back.
Return to the other side of the room and get a flag from the book in front of the map.
Return all the flags to the map. Then, go to the center of the room.

[8] Navigate through the third painting.

Return to the central platform and activate the lion again in order to open up the third painting.

Move forward and talk to the man by the pillars. He tells you a large massacre has just happened but he intends to not put much thought into the investigation or report. The wanderer argues with him and he lets them do what they want.

Investigate the bodes of the soldier and the monk, as well as the three bodies inside the building. The wanderer determines the recency of the corpses' deaths. Return to the constable.

Use the Mystic Skill Glow of Fireflies to investigate the bodies again, then return to the constable.

Look for incense inside the main hall. The door seems stuck, so ask the constable for help. Look for the incense on the right side of the hall. Along with incense, marks of someone having hid in the area are also visible. Talk to the constable about the findings.

Light up incense at the center of the temple.

[9] Navigate through the last painting.

Activate the lion mechanism again before proceeding to the last painting.

Go to the pavilion. Take a seat and wait for your friend.
