Violet Footsteps Summary

Lara reveals that before the party reached her, she had been with a violet-clad man with white hair. Iori speculates that she had met Cal and tries to reach out to him to no success.

Lara uses her popularity to find someone who had seen Cal using his description and the party is brought to ruins that are clearly another sanctuary.

Violet Footsteps Walkthrough

[1] Discuss Cal with Lara and the party.

Zash looks around the inn in The Town of Beginnings and can't believe how popular Lara is.

Musoh asks Lara if she was with someone before their party came along, considering what she said back in the cave.

Lara confirms and says it was a white-haired man who wore violet. He didn't look particularly strong, but he killed all the monsters with no trouble. They also didn't care much for Lara or seemed to know who she was.

Iori starts to speculate that the man that Lara met was Cal. Stina says that she heard about Cal and how people would do that hand gesture he often did to imitate him. Iori does the gesture to confirm.

Iori gets the idea to try to message him. He would be a great addition to the team. However, she can't contact him, which likely means he's in a dungeon.

Lara is invested in this search and implies that the team will have to protect her all the way to the 3rd floor.

Zash clarifies this since, well, you have a mission to gather all the legendary weapons after all. There's no time to be looking after a singer

Lara says you both share the same objective of finding the white-haired man and that she's not as useless as they think she is. She goes out of the room, and you decide to follow and see what she's up to.

[2] Get information about Cal.

Lara calls out to her fans downstairs and asks if anyone has seen a white-haired man wearing violet clothing.

A young girl answers that she has and runs up to talk to the team.

She introduces herself as Silica and says she saw the presumed Cal at some ruins.

Lara asks Silica to lead the team to Cal. In exchange, she will give Silica a recording of her performance.

Iori talks to you privately, saying that she's glad that Lara got back safely. She expresses a large distaste for stalkers, especially in real life.

She thanks you for being her companion, as she wouldn't have been able to get here without you.

She also expresses how happy she is that the team is all coming together.

[3] Head out to the ruins.

With Silica in tow, head towards the ruins to the west. Silica will mention that the ruins seemed unusual.

FIRST AREA: Shifting Greenway - Entry Path

There is another chest in the map, but it is unavailable unless the Ark in a different area has been activated and its guardian defeated.

SECOND AREA: Shifting Greenway - Terminus Path

THIRD AREA: Shifting Greenway - Connecting Path

FOURTH AREA: The Ritewood

At the entrance of the ruins, get ready for a boss battle.

[4] Defeat the Mountain Range Bao.

This large monster will bounce on the ground. It will only do so once, but still inflict considerable damage. It will also roll around the area and subsequently emit smoke that can blind you. Make sure you have some eyedrops in your pouch! This boss has 3 phases.

[5] Activate the Warp Terminal.

Head underground to find the Warp Terminal.

Your partner will look around and confirm that the ruins are another sanctuary.

Silica doesn't understand what your partner is talking about but is glad to have been of some help. The party will go back to town first before exploring the dungeon.
