Stats in Echoes of Aincrad

Stats

There are 7 Stats in Echoes of Aincrad and each has a bearing on your physical state in the game. They will affect your battle gameplay and your survivability. This is particularly essential when playing the Death Game Mode where survival is a high priority and you cannot simply just respawn and change tactics.

Here is the short-hand for what each stat can do.

StatDescription
STRPhysical Damage and Defense UP
DEXParrying/Perfect Dodge UP
AGISpeed and Dodging UP
INTStatus-Resistance and EXP gain UP
VITHP and Healing Crystal UP
ENDStamina UP
MindSP UP

Now let's talk about each stat in depth.

Stat

Swords are the most flexible and balanced weapon. Their stat priority will depend on your playstyle and do not have an inherent primary stat.

Strength (STR)

Strength increases you attack and defense. It is simply the raw output of each attack you make. Enough points in strength also increase the down rate which determines how often you can stagger your opponents.

Strength is the priority stat for those wielding axes and maces.

It is a secondary stat for those wielding sword.

Dexterity (DEX)

Dexterity deals with utilizing a parrying playstyle. Parrying in this game is done with a partner. After guarding, you attack to signal a follow-up from your partner. It also rewards players who like to use Sword Skills as it increases the overall damage of those.

Dexterity is the priority stat for those who wield rapiers and 2-handed swords.

It is a secondary stat for those wielding swords and maces.

Agility (AGI)

daggericon

Agility deals with speed. It's not just the speed of the character, but also the speed at which you attack. Faster attack speed means being able to hit an opponent more in a limited amount of time. This is also useful for sprinting as sprint attacks have some extra damage.

Agility is the priority stat for those wielding daggers.

It is a secondary stat for those wielding rapiers.

INT (Intelligence)

Intelligence is the quality of life stat. It makes things easier for the player by letting the player be more resistance against status effects, has the player gaining more Col and experience, and lets the player gain another item slot.

This stat is more for survivability rather for the common player that doesn't play on Death Game Mode.

VIT (Vitality)

Vitality is basically how much health you possess. Putting points here just adds to your max HP, and thus increases your survivability. It also allows you to increase the amount of HP your crystals can heal you. This means being able to withstand more overall damage before needing a heal.

This is good to invest in if you play a brute-force playstyle where you do not guard or dodge a lot. This is also to supplement if you prefer other partners to Iori, who has a healing skill.

END (Endurance)

axeicon daggericon

Endurance is your stamina. Each move in this game while fighting costs stamina. Some weapons like axes inherently use up more stamina with each attack, while daggers can cost a lot of stamina because many attacks are being done in a short period of time. Some weapons just need a little more stamina boost or less stamina consumption to play routinely without their stamina reaching 0.

Endurance is a primary stat for those wielding axes and daggers.

It is a secondary stat for those wielding maces and 2-handed swords.

Mind

Mind has all to do with the amount of SP you possess. Depending on your preference, you might like to use a lot of sword skills. You are able to gain SP again from attacking your foes, but it is much more convenient to finish off an enemy by doing consecutive sword skill attacks.

If you use a lot of Sword Skills and maybe want to use your item slot for something other than the SP potions, you might want to invest more into the Mind stat.

This also goes along with increasing the DEX stat as it increases Sword Skill damage.
