Sentry Golem Summary

The first boss is a massive stone sentinel guarding the path beyond the first Safe Area. Upon entering the room, it awakens from its slumber and proceeds to attack the party.

How to Beat Sentry Golem Guide

[1] The boss relies on a mix of melee and ranged attacks.

At close range, the boss alternates between smashes and stomps. Their slow windups make them easy to avoid by keeping your distance.

The Sentry Golem also has two ranged energy attacks:

• The head glows before firing five laser beams that cut through everything in front of it. This attack cannot be blocked, so strafe instead to avoid getting blasted.

• It charges first then fires several energy projectiles toward you and your partner. These are blockable, as long as you have enough stamina.

[2] Use the Reversal and Parry Slash during the fight.

Perform a Reversal Slash during the Sentry Golem's leap attack to repel the move, heavily stagger the boss, and inflict a ton of damage!

Wait for the blue ring to appear to pull off this special move with your partner.

Punches or overhead smashes can be blocked, creating opportunities to execute a Parry Slash.

[3] Say "Cheese!" using your Combination Skill.

At below 50% HP, the Sentry Golem can easily be one-shotted by your Combination Skill, a flashy and incredibly powerful technique that uses Combo SP.

Keep attacking enemies to fill your Combo SP bar.

• 1 x Iron Ingot
• 1 x Shortsword
• 1 x Crude Weapon Fragment
