Prologue Walkthrough
[1] Meet up with the party.
You are new to the game and your more experienced friends are waiting for you to come join them. Run to the end of the very long pathway to meet up with them!
Tutorial
---
Change controls mapping in the settings!
A little ways through, enemies and loot will appear. Get rid of the former and collect the latter!
Your friend Saayu suddenly goes silent after hearing a noise in the place they're investigating. Clark and Wyzeman go after her, asking you to wait by the door whenever you get there.
Soon, you hear Clark telling you not to go there and Saayu yelling for help.
You finally arrive and you watch your friends' avatars disappear.
[2] Defeat all the monsters in the room.
Are they responsible for your friends' deaths? Time to get revenge!
In the midst of fighting, a stranger comes in. As you are about to be dealt a deadly hit, he saves you.
Somehow, the two of you make it through. The man starts asking you questions about yourself. He offers to travel together and introduces himself as Iori.
Tutorial
---
Consume crystals to recover your HP. There is a set number of them available and will replenish when at a Safe Area or Terminal.
[3] Search for the exit.
Open the door and get out of the room. Keep going on the path until you reach the Waypoint.
Tutorial
---
Yellow diamonds seen in the mini-map and full map indicate Points of Interests. You can also create your own POIs on the map!
Battle Tip
---
Some moves require stamina or SP. Make sure to know which consumes what! Sword Skills use SP while using your shield and Crush Attacks use stamina! Keep an eye on your status with the bars on the upper left side of the screen.

Iori seems to doubt that the kobolds are what took your friends out. He understands if they were solo, but they were in a party, and considering how the two of you are doing just fine, it's a bit suspicious.

Walk towards the girl at the end of the room.
She was a distraction! The pink-haired girl attacked us! They're Player-Killers!
Stella? Didn't Clark say her name before his avatar disappeared? Were they the ones got rid of your friends?!
The girls cause some shaking to happen before they run for it. This isn't good...
[6] Defeat Illfang the Kobold Lord.
Yikes! They left you to deal with an boss-class enemy! Illfang holds a shield so you have to get rid of it to deal damage. Try Crush Attacks! Be careful of other kobolds joining the fray!
Battle Tip
---
It's not obvious but Illfang's HP actually has to be brought to 0 thrice! Don't relax after the first time and make sure to keep hitting hard!
You weren't able to avenge your friends, but maybe next time...
Oho? Seems like you got the relic after all. The Sacred Tree's Memory? No clue what this could do, but perhaps it'll be more helpful later on.
[7] Find the exit.
Enter the hole the boss made and press on.

You make it outside! Iori asks if you'd like to add them as a friend. They're a hardcore player so it often led to disagreements with more casual people. He enjoyed playing with you though and hopes you can keep the friendship.
Keep going on the road until you find the Terminal.
You and Iori take a moment to enjoy the realism of the game.
