Klein Character Profile and Voice Actors

A compassionate swordsman who's partied up with a group of old, longtime friends, bringing a sense of loyalty and camaraderie wherever he goes. Fate, in a strange and unexpected turn, brings the two of you together, setting the stage for a meeting neither of you could have fully anticipated.

Meeting Klein

Details remain limited at this point, and there doesn't appear to be a dedicated cutscene for the Protagonist's meeting with Klein. Instead, once the main quest Seeking Hope has been completed, players can simply find him at the Town of Tolbana on the first floor, and meeting him there is enough to trigger his personal storyline and side quests.

Unlocking Klein as a Companion / Party Member

For Klein to become available as a companion/party member, the Protagonist must first complete the main quest Seeking Hope.

Once that's done, the Protagonist can find Klein in the Town of Tolbana on the first floor, and speaking with him there unlocks his personal storyline, made up of three side quests:

1. Bride-To-Be
2. Suspicion
3. Truth

After finishing both the required main quest and all of Klein's side quests, he'll finally become available to recruit as a full companion/party member.

Role and Kits

Klein's role in the party is best defined as a Duelist, high offense, low defensive utility, Klein's self-sustain only kicks in during emergencies rather than holding up consistently, Klein trades survivability for sharp, aggressive damage output.

Klein's combination skill Riot Fangs deals heavy damage to a single enemy, but comes at the cost of temporarily lowering the DEF of both Klein and the Protagonist upon use.

While Klein's support skill Bolstering Bellow temporarily grants invincibility to the character while boosting ATK and DEF for both them and their partner. This skill triggers automatically whenever the character's HP drops below a certain threshold.

Klein's overall kit makes him a high risk, high reward companion for Protagonists looking to build a party centered around aggressive. Klein leans fully into offense and relies on Bolstering Bellow's emergency trigger. Klein rewards players who can either burst enemies down quickly or manage HP thresholds carefully, rather than those looking for a consistently safe, sustained playstyle.
