Meeting Iori

Iori first appears in the prologue where the protagonist's group is killed by two player-killers (PK'ers), Stella and Foxglove. Iori finds the Protagonist defending himself against a wave of kobolds and helps the Protagonist to clear the high level ruins. Iori's uses a male character model at the start but at the start of the Death Game Iori's true appearance is revealed.

Iori is available to join the Protagonist's party right from the very beginning of the game, making her the first companion the Protagonist can bring along at the start of Death Game.

Role and Kits

Within the party, Iori fills the role as a All-Rounder, someone capable of handling just about any situation the party runs into, Iori isn't the best at any one specialty compared to characters build around a single focus, but the versatility is exactly what makes her valuable, letter her cover gaps in the party.

Iori's signature support skill is Healing Circle, in which Iori drop's a healing zone on the ground that regenerates the player's health, letting them sustain through the fights without leaving combat to use an item.

Iori's Combination skill is called Twin Embrace that deals moderate damage to nearby enemies, with the damage scaling with your Character's current HP.

Overall, she's a flexible, low-risk pick for players who want a companion capable of adapting to whatever a situation calls for, whether that means leaning into support, sustain, or offense depending on how a fight unfolds making her a reliable choice for players who value consistency over specialization.
