Shields Basic Information
Except for shields, all pieces of armor provide an additional defense to your character. Every piece of armor has a Unique MOD. Make sure to check them if they match your playstyle. But of course, you can also wear any armor you want simply for aesthetic purposes.

 Round Shield | Increases the damage of Parry Slashes and temporarily increases DEF after one is used. |
 Wood Shield | Reduces the stamina consumption of guarding. |
 Proto-Elucidator SH | Restores SP after guarding against an attack. |
 Scrap Shield | Increases ATK, but also increases damage taken. |
 Foresight Shield | Restores HP on Parry. |
 Heart and Soul | Reduces damage taken when HP is 50% or lower |
 Veil Shield | Restores SP whenever guarding against an attack.While SP is half of its maximum or higher, Sword skills deal more damage. |
 Ohg's Hatred | Attracts the attention of nearby enemies whenever guards are successful. Also grants temporary invincibility. |
 Dark Xerxes | Deals damage based on DEF to the attacking enemy upon a successful guard |
 Gordian Shield | Increases DEF, but also increases stamina consumption when dodging |
 Saints Mirror | Inflicts daze stacks on the attacking enemy for each successful guard. |
How to Get Shields
In Base Towns like Town of Beginnings, just look for the hammer icon to find the blacksmith. This is where you can craft your armor.
Take note of the materials for crafting. Check the stats and Unique MODs of the armor to see if it fits your playstyle.
