Shinsengumi Scheme Walkthrough - Nioh 3

It seems the Shinsengumi are plotting something. If it would interfere with the loyalists' plans, then it must be stopped. I should investigate before the trouble becomes too great.

Shinsengumi Scheme

[1] Speak with the dead man southeast of Shimabara.

The dead man wishes there was someone who could do something against their schemes.

[2] Pursue the Shinsengumi in Shichijo.

The quest marker then moves to show you the endpoint.

[3] Defeat Shinsengumi Member Hattori Takeo.

Along the way, you will meet Shinsengumi member Hattori Takeo. This is only if you haven't unlocked the shrine closer to the end point. But if you haven't, you'll have to face him. He moves fast and blocks your attacks. He can also quickly execute triple slashes at you.

OPTIONAL:

You can meet Thomas Glover along the way. He's a Scottish gentleman ready to help. He tells you that you can use the cannons you can find in the area.

[4] Defeat Saito Hajime.

This man will suddenly appear at the crevice. Saito, like Hattori, can block attacks. Saito's common move is to slam his sword down.

He also can dash at you, so prepare to dodge.

[5] Talk to the man to end the mission.
