A Cause Too Great Quest Summary
Period: Heian - 1190 CE
With all the barriers cleansed, the road to the Palace is finally open. Shizuka Gozen, captured after infiltrating Yoritomo's base, is being held within the Crucible. I must reach the Palace at once to dispel the Crucible and rescue her.
A Cause Too Great Walkthrough
[1] Head for the Palace Grounds.
Go to the Palace Grounds in central Kyoto and reach the Crucible.
You can get there by fast traveling to the Anneibo Temple Shrine in Hachijo and then making your way north.
Minamoto no Yoshitsune will be at the barrier blocking the path, which will disappear shortly after approaching it.
[2] Complete Frozen City, Blazing Tree.
Once you enter the Palace Grounds, you will be tasked with completing the "Frozen City, Blazing Tree" Mission.
[3] Speak with Shizuka Gozen.
After defeating Minamoto no Yoritomo, talk to Shizuka Gozen. She will be able to restore the Spirit Tree using the branch previously given by Kusanagi.
Speak with her once more to confirm the restoration and wrap up this Quest.
