Crucible Manifested Full Walkthrough and Details | Nioh 3

Period: Warring States - 1572 CE

Having been swallowed by the Crucible, Hamamatsu Castle Town is wreathed in hellfire, presenting a horrible scene that seems not of this world. If I truly possess the ability to dispel this Crucible, then I must do so and save them all.

[1] Continue through the Hamamatsu Castle Town Crucible.

Enter the Crucible during The Hamamatsu Incident - Part 1 to start this Mission. Try to hit Level 14 before you jump in!

Keep in mind that inside the Crucible and Lesser Crucibles, Yokai attacks are more powerful and can inflict Life Corrosion, which can temporarily decrease your maximum Life.

On the bright side, your Amrita Gauge fills faster here, so your Living Artifact will be ready much sooner. Plus, Yokai called in with Summoning Seals deal extra damage!

Once you're inside, head straight and approach the first Bodhisattva Statue. While in a Crucible, you can only fast travel or leave the area when you're near one of these unlocked statues.

Drop down from the roof and prepare to battle roaming Yokai. While exploring, keep an eye out for any Lamps. They’re a sign that you're heading in the right direction.

COLLECTIBLE 1 - Samurai Locks

1		From the roof where you dropped off, make your way to the second lamp.
2		Then, climb here.
3		Enter the house and defeat the Yokai inside.
4		Open the Small Chest to get the Samurai Locks!

COLLECTIBLE 2 - Secret Skills Text: Running Water

1		Turn right once you reach the next lamp.
2		Jump to the platform above the lava.
3		Defeat the Yokai and open the Chest.

COLLECTIBLE 3 - Secret Skills Text: Advantageous Deflect

1		Keep exploring until you reach this bridge.
2		Look to your right to find an opening.
3		Head inside.
4		Drop down this hole.
5		Open the Chest.

COLLECTIBLE 4 - Samurai's Text

1		From the bridge near the Advantageous Deflect, turn here.
2		Head down to find a Corpse.
3		Search the Dead Body for the Samurai's Text.

COLLECTIBLE 5 - Secret Skills Text: Sneak Thief

2		Head inside and defeat some enemies.
3		Climb to the second floor.
4		Open the Chest.

COLLECTIBLE 6 - Ninja's Text

2		Turn right.
3		Jump and cross here.
4		Climb to reach the roof.
5		Keep walking to reach the other side.
6		Drop down the opening.
7		Open the Chest.
8		Leave the area by opening the Door.

2		Turn right.
3		Jump and cross here.
4		Go to the platform.
5		Climb to the roof.
6		Jump here to reach the other house.
7		Approach the Corpse.
8		Search the Dead Body to get the Handbook.

COLLECTIBLE 8 - Ninja's Locks

1		When you reach the Bodhisattva Statue - First Torii Gate, proceed further until you come across this ruined area
2		Climb onto the roof and use the broken gate to cross over.
3		Search the Dead Body to get the Ninja's Locks.

COLLECTIBLE 9 - Secret Skills Text: Supreme Parry

1		After picking up the Ninja's Locks, proceed to the next area and enter here.
2		Turn right after defeating the enemies.
3		Head up to this bridge and turn left.
4		Once you're off the bridge, go here to find the next Lamp.
5		Enter this nearby house.
6		Break the obstacles to reach the Chest.
7		Open it and loot the Supreme Parry.

[3] Head to the Castle Gate.

When you’re done collecting the items, unlock the Bodhisattva Statue - Otemon Gate and make your final preparations.

Interact with the Castle Gate to trigger a cutscene and meet the Boss you're about to face.

[4] Defeat Jakotsu-Baba.

The fearsome Yokai Jakotsu-Baba has various moves you should be wary of:

Move	Showcase	Details
Ghostly Swarm		Jakotsu-Baba releases several skulls directed at you. Run away to avoid these.
Yokai Realm		Use a Ki Pulse while in Samurai Style to dispel these.
Snake Slam		The enemy slams its snake tail into the ground. If you see a red aura, time your Burst Break to counter the attack.
Snake Swipe		A wide-range attack where the snake tail sweeps from one side to the other.
Fire/Ice Attack		Depending on which tail is active, Jakotsu-Baba will unleash either an ice or fire attack.
Staff Crush		The boss raises its staff and delivers a crushing blow.

Here are some additional Combat Tips to keep in mind:

・Attacking from a distance with Ninjutsu Skills is a smart strategy, as Jakotsu-Baba can be extremely aggressive in melee range.

・You can tell which of its snake tails will be attacking if one is raised while the other is lowered.

・When the screen turns black and white (entering the Dark Realm), you can stagger the Yokai by shooting the Crystal on its head.

[5] Cleanse the Hamamatsu Castle Town Crucible.

You have defeated Jakotsu-Baba! Now, restore the Hamamatsu Castle Town to its original state.

[6] Watch the Cutscene.

To conclude this Main Mission, watch the scenes where you break the Crucible and speak with Ii Naotora. Afterward, you will be tasked with continuing The Hamamatsu Incident - Part 2.
