Origin of the Haunting Caves Walkthrough - Nioh 3

The present-day Haunting Caves instill terror with their name alone, but they were once typical caves. However, this changed when a man determined to master Shugendo asceticism came to dwell in their depths...

Note: This is available after defeating the Hino-enma.

[1] Choose the Origin of the Haunting Caves Battle Scroll when at a shrine or Bodhisattva statue.

You will arrive at an area similar to the Haunting Caves. Be careful while traveling as there are many yokai abound!

[2] Find your way down to depths of the cave.

Follow the path and you will find a shrine. Past the shrine, there will be a large area. turn right.

Keep on going. You will face another fork in the road. Here, turn right again. Follow the path and you will come across another shrine.

Just keep on going. There will be a small fork in the road. Stay on thr right side and traverse through the Spirit Vein.

Stay on the path until you reach another shrine. Take the right path again going down.

Upon descending, you will fight 2 waves of yokai before the formidable foe appears.

[3] Defeat the ascetic monk's spirit.

The monk is quite fast! Fight in Ninja Style to match its speed!
