Groans in the Valley Walkthrough - Nioh 3

The clash with Takeda's forces is over, and soldiers from both sides should long since have withdrawn from the area. Despite this, someone's groans are said to be echoing from the bottom of the valley at Saigagake. I had best investigate.

Note: This is available after defeating Takeda Shingen for the second time.

[1] Select the Groans in the Valley Battle Scroll at a shrine/Bodhisattva statue.

You will arrive at the Saigagake area.

[2] Make your way to the ground.

The path to go down is very straightforward unless you want to take some fall damage. Make your way to the second shrine in the map.

Climb down from the platform and search through this departed soul.

[3] Defeat the yokai.

Waves of these human-shaped bloody yokai will spawn. More and more of them will spawn with each wave so watch out!

After 4 waves of the previous yokai, the Kamaitachi will appear! This is an upgraded version of the one you might have faced off against before. Here are some tips in battling them:
・They move QUICKLY, it might be best to stay in your Ninja Style for the mobility
・They have many front-facing attacks that you can either dodge or guard against with the right timing
・They may start to go around the area while unleashing their slashes, make sure to dodge in the opposite direction to not get hit
・One of their moves is to propel themselves forwards from a distance. Look out for it!
・Be sure to avoid their slash tornado once you see it coming!
・They will go into the Dark Realm and power up after taking enough hits
