Ryoma's Bequeathment Quest Summary

A friend of Himiko's, Ryoma Sakamoto, was killed in a battle that occurred at Omiya, and it seems the Shinsengumi ran off with something of his. I'd best investigate Omiya.

Note: This is only available after descending back to the ground after starting the Main Mission, Final Hope.

Ryoma's Bequeathment Walkthrough

[1] Talk to Himiko.

Walkthrough1

A large battle between the loyalists and the Shinsengumi happened in Omiya. It is also where Ryoma lost his life. Himiko has heard of rumors going around that the Shinsengumi are pilfering through the belongings of the dead loyalists. She wants you to check it out.

[2] Find Clues in Omiya.

Walkthrough2

Go to Omiya and destroy the Lesser Crucible there.

Walkthrough3

Use the Spirit Vein to get up to the second floor of the building.

Walkthrough4

Head to the last room of the corridor and defeat all the yokai there.

Walkthrough5

Search through both departed souls. You learn that there was a special letter that Sakamoto Ryoma held onto until he died that was stolen.

[3] Return to Himiko and report your findings.
・She says that Ryoma's letter may contain secrets of the loyalists. She remembers that a lot of the Shinsengumi met their end in Sanjo and proposes to look there.

[4] Find Ryoma's Letter.

Walkthrough6

Meet Himiko in Sanjo.

Walkthrough7

Search through the departed soul to obtain Ryoma's Letter. Himiko deduces that Ryoma must have scented the letter in order to lure away yokai from his comrades.

[5] Defeat the yokai.

Walkthrough8

Yokai appear! Defeat them - there will be 2 waves before the boss appears!

Walkthrough9

Defeat Mezuki! A familiar formidable enemy. Here are some tips in beating them!
・Mezuki can do a wide front attack with their sword that acts fast
・You have to be a certain distance right in front of them in order to Burst Break properly. The positioning can be tricky but fortunately you can practice since they trigger it a lot
・They have a long-ranged attack where they send gaseous skulls after you but they are easily avoidable
・They also have a Burst Break where they charge forward at you. Avoid those!
・While the attacks themselves can be fast, Mizuki moves slowly in general so you can find the chance to hit right after their attack once you learn their pattern

[6] Give the sealed letter to Himiko.
