The Spirit Tree Village Full Walkthrough and Details | Nioh 3

Period: Antiquity - 247 CE

The forest is thick with trees, and there is no way to know one's location. I might find a clue to my whereabouts if I head in the direction the Yokai fled, so I should press onward.

[1] Leave the Forest.

After entering the 247 CE - Antiquity era, head in the direction the Yokai fled to progress through the Mission.

[2] Search for Collectibles.

AREA 1 - Great Forest

Follow the path until you reach a Shrine further up.

From there, move stealthily through the foliage, defeating enemies as you go. Keep your eyes peeled for any Collectibles hidden along the path!

Crucible Wraith		Continue forward and head down to the right toward the water, where you’ll find a lootable Corpse. Then, drop down the ledge to the right to encounter this Enemy.
Samurai's Locks		Return to the main path and drop down again from the platform. Turn left and defeat the enemy to collect a Valuable from the nearby Corpse.
Moving Statues		After heading back to the top, pass through the row of columns and statues. Be prepared to fight when they start moving.
Ninja's Locks		Next, jump up to the ledge via the wooden path and open the Chest. A Mujina is hiding inside! Perform the correct gesture or defeat it.
Crucible Wraith		Climb the wooden incline and head to the path below. There, you will encounter a Nozuchi.
Samurai's Locks		Keep moving forward and loot this Corpse for a Collectible.

AREA 2 - Village Foothills

Continue down to the end of the path to reach the next Shrine.

[3] Head deeper into the Village.

Go forward until you reach Yamatai. From there, you can view the Spirit Tree and the Crucible from afar.

Cross the bridge and enter the village. The path splits here: head right for a group of smaller enemies and loot, or left to fight a large enemy guarding more items. Take your time to explore both!

AREA 3 - Before the Great Hall

When you're done finding the remaining Collectibles, unlock the Shrine in the Village.

Check your gear and head north to progress. Climb the stairs and open the gate to challenge the Boss!

[4] Defeat Kusanagi.

After a cutscene, the battle against Kusanagi and the Red-Clothed Maiden will start.

Here are some Combat Tips to remember during the battle:

・Kusanagi is extremely agile, dashing around the arena and flying, as well as using claw attacks and shooting projectiles.

・The Red-Clothed Maiden also periodically joins the fight. Most of her attacks are focused on ranged magic.

・You must focus your attacks on Kusanagi. Once he falls in battle, the Maiden will instantly be defeated too.

Move	Showcase	Details
Dive Attack		Kusanagi prepares to fly, setting up for a dive attack. When there's a red glow for this move, counter it with a Burst Break.
Fiery Tornado		Watch out! Kusanagi can create a fire tornado. Stay away to prevent taking damage.
Fire/Water Projectiles		When the Boss takes flight again, stay alert for his quick, laser-like projectiles. They can be either Fire or Water-based.
Water Stomp		Along with his claw attacks, Kusanagi stomps his front legs to create a water splash.
Tail Slam		If Kusanagi raises his tail while you are attacking from behind, quickly dodge to avoid a powerful, fire-infused slam.
Red-Clothed Maiden's Intervention	Maiden attacks with Explosive Fire as Kusanagi performs a Water Stomp.	As mentioned, the Maiden strikes with Fire or Water spells from afar. Closely monitor her charging animation to time your dodges. Summon an Acolyte to assist you in this battle. It can help distract the Maiden while you attack Kusanagi.

After defeating Kusanagi, another cutscene will play, and this Mission will be completed! You'll then be tasked to start "Ill Omen" next.
