Insatiable Hunger Walkthrough - Nioh 3

The man found dead on the village outskirts seems to have been leading his starving family toward the ferry. I should retrace his path.

[1] Collect the last thoughts of the soul.

A man's last sentiment is that his wife and child go to the ferry dock to get some food.

[2] Head to the ferry.

The dock for the ferry is at this Enemy Base. There are 7 yokai in it. You can trigger the next part of the quest by going to the center of the town, but, while you are here, you might as well capture the base!

Sadly, it seems that the wife died here due to bandits hogging all the food. Her spirit begs Taro to run away.

[3] Retrace Taro's steps.
・The hint given to you is he should run to a house in the woods

[4] Defeat the Gaki Chief.

Here are some tips in fighting against this formidable enemy!
・Most of the Gaki Chief's attacks are frontal so attacking it from the back will be to your advantage
・Don't forget you have Ninjutsu! You can hit it with a long-distance attack
・Of course, keep an eye on the Ki gauge of the enemy. Grapple at its head when its out of Ki!

Sadly, it seems that out of anger by finding out where all the food went and how his parents died of starvation, Taro became a yokai. Only now that he is defeated does his spirit rest.

[5] Speak with the man.
・The spirit of the man will appear after you defeat the yokai.
