Shells Tier List for Early-to-Mid Game
| Tier | Shells | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Great abilities that can be used both defensively and offensively. Good against mobs while also remaining strong against most bosses. | ||
| Heavy focus on break and stagger, great on maintaining control during overwhelming fights. | ||
| Late-game Shells that are quite gimmicky, can be fun and effective but do not scale very well unless you find the perfect build for them. | ||
| Aside from being late-game Shells, their kit also requires practice to be effective. Their abilities can do more harm than good when used improperly. |
Shells Tier List for New Game+
| Tier | Shells | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Massive damage dealers with the correct build, given that you already have most of the important Tarstones. Lazlo's playstlye is a bit more risky but pays off really well with high damage potential. | ||
| Well-balanced, durable, and strong against most bosses. Sariel requires a bit of fine-tuning and practice but works well against both mobs and bosses. | ||
| Smert's risky playstyle is harder to pull off in NG+ since the enemies hit way harder. Eredrim's focus on break damage does not scale that well since higher raw weapon damage is much more effective in NG+. | ||
| Gragu's healing is not very effective in NG+ since most bosses can kill you in one hit anyway. Genessa's playstyle is decent but it lacks in damage and control when compared to the better Shells. |
