The Wandering Shepherd Attack Patterns
| Attack | Description |
|---|---|
| Tornado and Teleport Away | The Wandering Shepherd will dodge your attacks and occasionally teleport away. |
| Returning Staff Twirl | The boss, as Wandering Shepherd, can also send his staff floating behind you (or a bit to your side) before yanking it back, damaging you if you get hit. |
| Sheep Transformation | In his Tarblighted Shepherd state, he'll try to turn you into a sheep, telegraphed by a shrinking white ring around you that turns red right before it hits. |
| Floating Sword Stab | As the Tarblighted Shepherd, he will try to stab you with his floating sword. The attack starts with the sword rising above his head before he stabs it forward, and he may repeat it up to four times in a row. |
How to Beat the Wandering Shepherd
The Wandering Shepherd can be found with his flock of sheep. Once he notices you, he will cast a spell that turns his flock of white sheep black, and they'll then attack you.
The flock of sheep has no special moves. Their attacks consist of getting close to you, standing on their hind legs, and swiping at you with their front legs. They can also perform a jumping charge.
Attacking the flock builds up the boss's break meter, so keep at it until the boss is vulnerable to a riposte. Repeat this process while conserving health.
When doing this, watch out for the spear he will occasionally send towards you.
At around half health, the Wandering Shepherd will teleport away and transform into the Tarblighted Shepherd. In this form, his human appearance is replaced by that of a black, goat-like creature with horns.
His staff will also transform into a sword that deals more damage and is more aggressive so be more cautions when going on the offensive.
