NPCs can be found throughout the map. They may ask you for help and if you do, you might get rewarded in return.
Where to find Milos
Milos is one of the primary disciples of Marrow Keep and has the role of Ovum Keeper. He is stationed in the hall between the Tarforge and Merrick's shop.
Milos Questline Walkthrough
[1] Speak to Milos.
Talk to him and he'll introduce you to the Gloom Siphon, greeting you with "Harbinger, we've prepared the Gloom Siphon for your coming".
[2] Use the Gloom Siphon.
Interact with the Siphon to convert any Ovum you've recovered from cleansed Beacons and Corrupted Gates into usable Gloom and Ova.
Ovum builds up passively as you explore, so the longer you go between visits, the more you'll gain when you deposit it here.
[3] Collect Mether's Breath.
Your earliest siphon deliveries unlocks the Mether's Breath, which becomes available as an option from Beacons. It lets you fast travel between any revitalized Beacon you've visited.
Mether's Breath also cleanses corruption, revealing hidden paths and opening up areas that were once out of reach.
[4] Keep Collecting Ovum.
Keep siphoning Ovum as you explore to unlock further rewards down the line. Milos's role is mainly to introduce you to the Gloom Siphon mechanic in the early stages of the game.
