Vrannic, the Grand Illusionist, is an optional boss fought inside the Hall of Illusions found in the Mushroom Village.

Where to Find Vrannic, the Grand Illusionist
First, fast travel to the Mushroom Village Gate Beacon and cleanse it.
Progress through the area as normal until you reach this Resolve Vine. Destroy it and walk through the gate behind you to progress.
Continue as normal. When you reach a room with seemingly no way forward, swing around and attack the walls until you reveal a fake wall.
Destroy the Resolve Vine but nothing happens when you do—until you look up and see Vrannic. The floor is then lost and the boss fight starts.

How to Beat Vrannic, the Grand Illusionist
Vrannic is not a difficult boss, its attack patterns are very easy to read even. Simply fight it as normal.
The staff attacks are a slightly different story. While parrying it is not impossible, you will save more health if you just dodge them and keep your distance from there.
When it splits into multiple copies, just kite behind the pillars and attack the copies to stop them from firing eyeballs. They can only take one hit so swing away.
