There is no Character Creation
No. Mortal Shell 2 does not have a character creator. However, it does have a way to change the appearance of the player character.
How the Player's Appearance Changes
Shells
Shells are the dormant forms of forgotten warriors. They can be found in various parts of the world.
By awakening the Shell, the harbinger will inhabit this former body and develop its own unique combat style. The player character's appearance will accordingly change along with the shell that you are using.
There are 8 shells in the game, including some from the previous game, Mortal Shell. You may inhabit any shell you wish during the game and change them according to your playstyle.
Skins
Skins can also change the way your character looks. They will not add any buffs or change the gameplay style the way shells do and are purely cosmetic.
There are skins available by either playing the demo or by pre-ordering the game.
