Where to Find Tainted Vestige
The boss can be found just below the bridge after defeating the three soldiers at Disciple's Pass. Hop off the wrecked portion of the bridge and prepare to fight the tainted being.
Tainted Vestige Attack Patterns
The table below lists the attack details of the Tainted Vestige.

| Burrowing Strike |  Tainted Vestige plunges its arms into the ground, creating flaming roots to erupt forward. Dodge sideways quickly when you see it burrow its arms. |
| Blazing Arm Strike |  It elongates its arms before slamming and burning the ground in front of it. Dodge sideways quickly when you see it |
| Arm Swing |  It raises its arm briefly before swinging it down. The attack can be blocked. |
| Arm Plunge |  Tainted Vestige plunges its right arm into the ground and triggers a blast in the area. This is indicated by a red icon, dodge as soon as it appears. |
| Grab Attack |  A flashing red icon signals the creature's signature grab, where it seizes the player with its right arm and crushes them in its jaws. The attack cannot be blocked so dodge immediately as soon as the icon appears. |
How to Beat Tainted Vestige
[1] Keep your distance as it attacks apply Burn.
Avoid committing to long combos, as most of its attacks can inflict Burn and deal damage over time. Evading is generally safer than blocking, as getting hit can leave a debilitating status effect.
[2] Use Naylshotte and your Shell's ability to be more effective in combat.
Cycle between ranged and melee attacks to wear it down. Use Stone Shout to disable the creature for a short period of time and deal Break Damage.
[3] Avoid its lethal grab attack.
Tainted Vestige has a fatal grab attack signaled by a flashing red icon. Unfortunately, this cue is also shared by some of its other attacks, so it is safer to dodge as soon as the red icon appears.
