Ogden gets another set of notes and more things to be suspicious about.

This is available after visiting the Ministry of Eggs and finishing Ogden Ch. 2 Side Story.

[1] Talk to Ogden at the base.

There's a new set of observations notes again, and this time, it's about the Exotic Legiana. They try to theoririze about the sender and what their purpose is but don't come up with anything solid. The player suggests to go and test the written notes to look for more clues.

[2] Find the Exotic Legiana.

Head to Rococo Rocks in Tarkuan. While on the hunt, they meet Thea. As usual, they were chasing Poogies, and happened to see the team while on the crystallized dragon. She reports she hasn't seen an unusual wyvern in the area and excuses herself, saying she doesn't want to get in the way.

The player starts to see a pattern where they keep meeting other rangers while they're out on the hunt using these notes. Ogden says he's been suspicious of the lot since the start since the letters kept coming even after they crossed the Meridian. The team suspect the rangers but Ogden does think it's odd if it's all of them since when would they have the time to plan and execute this in the first place?

Ogden seems to have a revelation but says to leave the theoririzing for later as the monster finally shows itself! Looks like the monster has no plans to go down by itself...which means it's up to the team to bring them down!

Use a Monstie with Breath to shoot down the Exotic Legiana. Initiate battle and win by focusing on attacking the wings.

Ogden says they should now move on to their new target - the letter sender. He doesn't know who it is for sure, but he has a hypothesis he thinks is worth checking out.

[3] Find the letter sender.

They return to their base in Galyad. Seems like Ogden called out Gaul. Is he the mysterious pen pal?

Ogden gives a short run-down of the events to Gaul and Gaul concludes that they've come to ask for help from him. Ogden cuts to the chase and accuses Gaul of being the letter sender. His reasoning goes with first, the sender must have crossed the Meridian or have extensive connections and surely Murray who handles all things Melynx Exporium has those. Second, Ogden says Gaul still doesn't trust that he won't scurry off to an adventure and leave the rangers, which is why the letters acted like a test of sorts.

Gaul reveals that he had objected back then, not because he didn't trust Ogden, but because Caretta, Ogden's wife (at the time), had asked him to. She had been mourning their son, one of the greatest rangers, and now her husband wanted to join the rangers as well, even to the point of using the king as leverage. She walked out on him shortly after he joined.

With all that cleared up...so it wasn't Gaul who sent the letters? Who was it then?!
