[2] Use the meteor skill at Rudy's cue.

During this time, the Invasive Diablos creates three little earthquakes.

[3] Hit the same hole using the meteor skill and survive until you get it to emerge in your chosen target.

Rudy tells you that it doesn't emerge from the same hole. There seems to be no pattern as to which hole it emerges from first. Following the rhythm of how it moves on the ground also doesn't work. So, the best way is to just hit the same hole until it's the hole it comes out of.
