Kora's Gunlance (Kora Ch. 2) Full Walkthrough and Details | Monster Hunter Stories 3 ( MHS3 )

Kora's old gunlance is all worn out but she's been hesitating on replacing it.

This is available after hatching the Canyne Egg and finishing Kora's Ch. 1 Side Story.

[1] Talk to Kora at the base.

Her weapon is getting old and worn and she's thinking of making a new one. All she needs are the materials and she thinks she can get them from a cave in the Canalta Timberlands. She advises the player to bring along an aquatic monstie if they plan on joining her.

[2] Get to the cave.

Follow the river that flows from behind Blessing Hill into the Cataracts. Eventually there will be a fork with a small waterfall and that's where the cave can be found. Kora says to excise caution since the cave also serves as a monster habitat.

[3] Gather materials.

Enter the cave and follow the path. Like in Kora's 1st chapter, there are a lot of breakable rocks and rock walls in this cave.

In the first fork of the road, turn right.

This is a 3-way intersection. Take the path on the left after destroying the rocks on the cliff.

There is immediately another fork in the road. Take the path with water on the right.

Use a monstie that can jump or fly across the rocks to get to the other side.

The player asks Kora why they seem hesitant on replacing her weapon and she says that her gunlance is her life. Back when she was on one of her first ore expeditions, she had been cornered by monsters when Lucas came in to save her.

He was all scratched up and everything but this was the moment she decided she would protect him with her life. Rudy remarks that he's heard human love doesn't really have much logic. He then asks where the gunplane fits in when they hear monster cries. The team decide to check it out.

Follow the path forward on land since the path in the water leads to a dead end.

In the next fork, turn right. The path forward does have a rare den though.

In the next fork, turn left and continue on the water path. Soon, a Catavan Stand will be in sight.

Destroy the rock wall on the right of the Catavan Stand and move forward.

Fight the Khezu and win!

Rudy and the player can't let themselves leave without hearing the end of the gunlance story though! Kora reveals that instead of a ring, she had asked Lucas for a gunlance. She does need a new weapon but she still plans to take care of the gunlance, she just won't be using it for battle anymore.
