Available after the the Main Story Reunion and after finishing Canalta Timberland Survey.

[1] Talk to the Drifting Hunter at Mt. Canalta.

A Barroth somehow found its way into Canalta Timberland and has been making a mess of things. The hunter hopes that the player can sort this issue out.

[2] Slay the monster.

Go forth to the Cataracts and defeat the Barroth.

[3] Report back to the Drifting Hunter.
