In Her Footsteps Quest Summary
Chapter Five: Lazlion
After finding a piece of Amara’s armor, the Prince/Princess of Azuria becomes certain that his/her mother passed through this area.
The team also discovers more about monsters reviving from crystallization when an Azure Rathalos hatches from a 200-year-old quartz egg and attacks.
Once the Lunagaron is defeated and the group reunites with Corbin, they follow the survey team captain to the heart of the lair where Aenshin’s egg rests.
In Her Footsteps Walkthrough
[1] Proceed further into the Terra Nativitas.
The Rangers head deeper into the Terra Nativitas after defeating Bound Azure Rathalos. Meanwhile, Corbin and the Survey Team Captain continue their search for the Aenshin Egg.
They stumble upon an Egg Quartz that is on the verge of hatching.
The two are shocked as a Bound Lunagaron jumps out. Luckily, the Rangers arrive just in time to rescue them.
[2] Defeat the Bound Lunagaron.

Just like the Bound Azure Rathalos, the Bound Lunagaron has three different states. Stay alert to which is active to predict the moves it's going to use:

Once the battle is over, the Survey Team Captain guides the group to find the Egg for the next Quest, "Echoes of Life".
