Case of the Floating Mountain Full Walkthrough and Details | Monster Hunter Stories 3 ( MHS3 )

There once was a great sea in this land, but a giant, floating mountain appeared and swallowed up every living creature. The sea dried up, and the land turned barren. Now the mountain has reappeared. What will it swallow up this time…?

Available after the Father and Child main quest.

[1] Talk to the World-Weary Historian at the Ministry of Eggs.

**[2] Head out to Tarkuan (or any location with monsters) at night and fight monsters. Do not defeat them through direct combat. Repeat this multiple times until a cutscene occurs showing air vents in Tarkuan. This cutscene signals that the monster you are looking for has spawned in Tarkuan. **

[3] Head to the Bountiful Dunes region in Tarkuan, and look above to find a large green monster flying around. This is called the Yama Tsukami.

[4] Engage in combat with the Yama Tsukami using the air vents that spawned around the Bountiful Dunes.

[5] Repel the Yama Tsukami by ending the encounter. It does not matter if you defeat it or not, as long as you engage in combat and end it.

[6] Return to the World-Weary Historian at the Ministry of Eggs.
