Beast of Reincarnation Boss Guide

[1] Learn the Beast of Reincarnation's attack patterns.

The table below displays all the boss's attack details.

[2] The boss has a regenerative shield that you need to shatter in the first phase.

At the beginning of the fight, the boss is protected by a white barrier that constantly regenerates its health, making it impossible to outpace its healing. The only way around this mechanic is by building up its Down Gauge and staggering it, which triggers a cutscene where Emma uses the Kanzashi to destroy its barrier. Once gone, the Beast of Reincarnation loses its ability to regenerate HP and finally becomes vulnerable to attacks.

[3] Use Emma's hair to evade the laser attack.

If the Laser Beam is giving you trouble, cast Sprout Shakuyaku or extend Emma's hair upward to stay out of its reach and avoid the attack completely.

[4] Combine skills together to maximize damage during brief openings.

Before the fight, maximize the upgrades for Blade Art: Kiku and its Finisher along with a binding skill, such as Botan: Chaser II or Higanbana: Roots.

Use the bind to create a safe opening, then unleash the full art to take a massive chunk out of the beast's health.

[5] Your skills are taken away during the third phase.

After seemingly defeating the boss in the second phase, the Beast of Reincarnation suddenly strips Emma and Koo of their skills, leaving them with only their basic abilities. Don't worry about losing the next fight, as defeat is a part of the story and leads directly into the last phase.

[6] Enjoy the final phase.

The fight takes a dramatic turn during the final phase, with Emma gaining the same regeneration ability the boss had earlier and making her effectively invulnerable. With the tables turned, this phase is more of a cinematic power trip, so feel free to attack however you like without worrying about taking damage. You can also use Emma's newly acquired Blossoms of Reincarnation skill to deal heavy damage.
