Erymanth Boss Guide
[1] Learn Erymanth's attack patterns and timings.
| Attack | Description |
|---|---|
| Double Tusk Swing | The beast swings its tusks twice. Adjust the parry timing as the second swing comes slightly faster than the first. |
| Spinning Tusk | Erymanth performs two full spins, swinging its tusk at the player during each rotation. Guard after its brief pause before each swing to successfully parry both attacks. |
| Tusk Slam | It raises its tusk before slamming the ground, causing rock spikes to erupt in front of it. This attack cannot be blocked or parried, so dodge as soon as it brings its head down. |
| Boar Rush | Erymanth prepares to charge the player at full speed. It will paw the ground twice before charging, dodge just before it reaches you to evade the attack. |
| Thorn Bullets | The thorns on its back glow as it shakes its body before launching four consecutive thorns at the player. These projectiles can be blocked or parried, but constant strafing also works. |
| Bursting Petals | Roots appear around the boss before it slams the ground, triggering several petals to erupt from the rooted areas. Dodge just before the boss lands to execute a perfect dodge. |
| 5-Hit Tusk Assault | Erymanth glows brightly before executing five consecutive tusk strikes. The first two have the same parry timing, followed by a brief pause before the third swing, so adjust accordingly. The final two strikes follow the same timing as its Spinning Tusk attack. |
[2] Attacks during the second phase generate dust clouds.
In the second phase, most of its attacks create dust clouds, making them harder to see and parry. Memorize the rhythm of its Tusk Swing and 5-Hit Tusk Assault before pushing it into its final form to make parrying easier. Alternatively, perform early guards to reliably block any incoming attacks.
If you're having difficulty reading its attack patterns, use binding skills such as Higanbana: Roots and Botan Chaser II to safely interrupt the creature.
