Great Wall Terraces Summary

The party goes to the Mountainous regions where a golem settlement infamously isolates itself. While looking for the Nushi, Emma and Koo encounter the Nue Malefact that destroyed the Ogouchi Colony. It leads them to a Male Purifier, Shidou. Shidou gets the upperhand on Emma but decides to let her develop as a Purifier before seemingly taking her out.

Great Wall Terraces Walkthrough

[1] Get ready for the next region.

Emma wakes up and asks Violet what 'love' is. She's lost on some terms that Brad uses sometimes.

Violet tells Emma to imagine the feeling of losing someone she thinks she couldn't bear to lose. The person she can't bear to lose must be someone she loves.

Emma then concludes she must love Violet in that case. Violet reassures her that Emma won't lose her.

The party is on their way to the next region. The Administrator reminds them that the fight is still a long one. Brad asks Emma why she follows orders and Emma says she never really thought about it.

After arriving in the mountainous region, Brad informs Emma that the settlement is isolated and full of Golems who have become fanatics about the area being their salvation.

Brad asks Emma if something's wrong since she seems to be concerned about a Nushi being here. She wonders what happens after slaying the Beast of Reincarnation. The reason being is she's not sure what will happen to Violet since they seem to have a connection.

[2] Investigate the strange signal.

The large gate is locked. Best to find a console to open it up.

Head to the area on the left side of the gate.

Press forward. Right after opening the gate, Brad will tell you that the signal of the Nushi disappeared. It reappeared again and seems to be moving. He wonders out loud if there's another sealer out there absorbing Nushi...regardless, go and investigate the signal.

Once at this fork, go right to get collectibles, but go left to continue on to the other parts of the area.

At the campsite, go left. Go right for collectibles.

[3] Defeat the Nue Malefact.

You see the Nushi branching out. Brad is now certain that someone else is out there absorbing Nushi as well.

The Nushi from Ogouchi...you meet once again.

The fight will be similar to the one in the previous battle. Halfway through, the Nushi will escape.

Emma will gain Nushi Skill: Rampaging Asagao and the Blade Art/Finisher: Asagao through the Ursine Memories. Koo learns the Bloom Art: Asagao: Boa.

[4] Follow the Nue Malefact.

With this new information, absorbing Nushi now becomes a race, especially since the other sealer's motivations are unclear.

At the fork in the road with a shrine, go left. For collectibles, go right.

At this fork, go left for a shrine and a lot of enemies. Go right for the Nue Malefact.

[5] Face the Nue Malefact again.

The Nue Malefact will be near the campsite on this path. It will have the decreased HP from the fight earlier. Halfway through, it will escape again.

Emma will receive Erymanthian Memories. She will learn Nushi Skill: Creeping Kiku and Blade Art/Finisher: Kiku while Koo learns the Bloom Art Kiku: Bloom Strike.

[6] Keep pursuing the Nue Malefact.

Follow the path to where the Nue Malefact escaped to.

At the end of the road, indicated by the patch of red flowers, go northeast.

Soon, you will find a path again. Take the path going right that goes around the bridge, not under it.

Take the path to the right to head north. You can cross the bridge to fight more Elite Enemies and obtain collectibles.

Keep moving towards the quest marker. At this fork, go right and at the end of the path, it's time to go vertical with Emma's hair.

Before facing the Nue Malefact, you can rest at a campfire.

[7] Defeat the Nue Malefact.

There's only 1/3 of their HP left! Let's finish this!

The malefact will run and go over the Grand Wall.

[8] Get past the Grand Wall.

Drop to the ground and activate the elevator.

When you get to the bridge, there is a literal slippery slope and going down on the ramp will drop you to the water and decrease Emma's HP. Extend Emma's hair here instead.

[9] Defeat the Nue Malefact and the Male Purifier.

Move towards the Nushi's lair. Emma will find the Nushi with a human.

It'll be easier to see the Nue Malefact attack if you target the Male Purifier instead. When his HP goes down to half, he will begin to entangle with the Nushi to restore some HP. This also leaves him vulnerable to attacks, so it's a good chance to get some combos and skills in. He is also weak to Poison so you might want to prepare accordingly.

The Male Purifier is able to bring Emma down. Koo attacks him immediately but is then taken down by the Nushi with its vines.

Emma recovers and attacks the Male Purifier head on. Unfortunately, she is injured badly in their confrontation.

The man says that they didn't know what to do with Emma being chosen as the "vessel". He introduces himself as Shidou but talks cryptically. Emma tries to attack him once more, but he hits her injury and she goes down.

Shidou leaves, apparently wanting Emma to grow stronger first.

Koo surrounds Emma and entangles with her to help her recover.

[10] Rest at the Cleanse Walker.

Emma wakes up back in the Cleanse Walker. Brad wonders out loud about Shidou's possible motivation, but Emma doesn't really have a clue. Emma is now able to use the Nushi Skill: Chimeric Flow.

Brad talks to Kunai about Shidou. Brad is hiding from Emma that she will need to stop Violet from waking up.
