Corvus Summary

Emma and Koo encounter the two raven-like Nushi that attacked the Ooi Colony high above the Giant Tree Zone.

Corvus First Boss Guide

[1] You will fight the birds separately in two different locations.

Corvus 1 Location

One of the Nushi is located near the Giant Tree: Feeding Grounds Campsite.

Corvus 2 Location

The last Nushi is located near the Giant Tree: Lair Entrance Campsite. Buy supplies from the nearby merchants and equip any necessary gear before heading into each lair.

[2] Learn their attack patterns.

The tables below contain the different attacks used by the two Corvus.

Corvus (Line 0)
AttackDescription
Aerial
Bombardment
Corvus' Aerial Bombardment
The beast glides across the battlefield, periodically dropping three bulbs that burst and spread corrosive acid along its path. Avoid its flight path or dodge just before the projectiles land to evade the attack.
Acid BulbCorvus' Acid Projectile
Corvus hurls a single acid bulb that deals acid damage and leaves a corrosive zone on the ground. Avoid the affected area, as it continues to deal damage over time.
Triple Acid
Bulbs
Corvus' Triple Acid Projectile
Corvus launches three acid bulbs in a spread. Dodge before they hit and avoid walking over the splash zones.
Triple Talon
Strike
Corvus' Triple Talon Strike
The bird strikes you with its talons three times in a row. It briefly hovers in the air before performing this sequence. Each strike follows the same rhythm, making the combo quite predictable.
Beak ThrustCorvus' Beak Thrust
Corvus raises its head and pulls back its wings before plunging toward you with its beak. Guard when you see the tips of its wing feathers straighten to perform a successful parry.
Corvus (Line 1)
AttackDescription
Dive BombCorvus' Dive Bomb
When the boss reaches low health, it ascends high into the sky before diving at you with its beak. This attack cannot be parried or blocked, so dodge just before it reaches you to avoid getting hit.
Acid ExplosionCorvus' Acid Explosion
Be warned, this attack has a massive AoE. A red flash appears on Corvus' talons before it plunges them into the ground, causing several acid bulbs to emerge around the impact point. These detonate shortly and spread caustic fluid across the area. Stack your dodges to safely move outside the attack's blast radius.

[3] Bolts and arrows are particularly effective against the two bosses.

Ranged attacks are recommended for the fights, as the birds rarely approach the surface and typically remain out of Emma's reach.

Lightning Bolts

Use the Lightning Bolts and Arrows scattered throughout the battlefield to build up the enemy's Lightning status meter. Filling the gauge staggers the birds and knocks them out of the sky.

To mitigate the Acid damage from the boss, equip Emma with the Amber Breastplate. This armor also provides six Spirit Stone Slots.

The armor is in a Strongbox in the Drowned Region in the Giant Tree Zone.

[4] Eliminate the reinforcements it calls in during the match.

The second Corvus can summon smaller birds to assist it in combat. Defeat them first to avoid any distractions before focusing on the boss.
