Matsukawa Zone Walkthrough

[1] Head to the Matsukawa Colony.

At the start of the chapter, Koo will gain the Bloom Art: Botan Chaser while Emma gains Blade Art/Finisher: Botan.

Emma learns more about emotions from Brad and why he is interested in going after the Beast of Reincarnation. They arrive at the Matsukawa Colony and Emma proceeds to try and find the Nushi underneath the colony. Apparently, the area is full of corrupted golems.

When you get to the lake, turn right. Grapple onto buildings and make your way through the rubble. Follow the Amber butterflies to make your way to the other side.

Follow the quest marker. When you get to this fiery area, use Emma's hair to pass through in order not to get burned.

Once you get to the other side, an Elite enemy with some other malefacts will block the way. Defeat them to continue on.

After clearing out the area, get back on track to the colony by grappling Emma to the buildings.

There is a large gate leading to the next zone that is still locked. Emma and Koo will have to go inside the colony to get it open.

[2] Find a way to open up the gate.

There will be a long stretch without enemies starting from the bridge connected to the colony, but you will be met with an elite enemy as soon as you press forward from the campsite inside. Brad tells Emma to be wary of the whole place. It should be locked up tight as it's known for being isolated, yet it's wide open.

Press further inside. Strangely, there are neither enemies or golems on the path to the city center. Keep going down and operate the panel in the middle room.

After opening the large gate, an alarm goes off saying that the colony lockdown has been deactivated so all research subjects will now be released.

[3] Defeat Rangifer.

You meet Rangifer again and now it has some new moves it uses much more often than its old ones. It will have a couple of unavoidable moves that have to be perfect dodged. Its weakness has also changed to lightning instead.

It still has Phase 2 and will become more aggressive. When low on HP, it will summon a tree trunk and try to absorb nutrients from it.

Much like in the first chapter, when Emma's and Koo's guard are down, the vines come and entangle with them, causing them to faint. Violet and Emma both appear in a field of flowers. Some memories seem to be coming back to Violet but she has doubts they are really hers. She worries that she isn't meant to stay by Emma's side.

[4] Recover in the Walker.

Emma wakes back in the Cleanse Walker. Kagura learns of Violet by hearing her name while Emma struggled through nightmares. Koo gains the Bloom Art: Sakura Javelin II while Emma gains the Blade Art/Finisher: Sakura.

From Kunai and Brad's conversion, you infer that the colony was actually creating Nushi. Violet speaks to the Beast of Reincarnation again. The Beast claims that it gained despair because Violet disappeared. They say that Emma and Koo were only born to become a vessel.
