Crater Zone Walkthrough

[1] Look for a way to open the gate.

At the start of the chapter, Emma will receive Corvine Memories. Koo will learn the Bloom Art: Nobudou: Burst II while Emma gains the Finisher: Nobudou.

While Emma rests, Brad will talk to Kunai. He plans to let Emma know the truth about her. He says that it was his mistake that made her that way, though not clear what he had done at all. The phone call ends with Brad declaring that they will put an end to the Administrator.

The team arrives at the Crazter Zone in the Wasteland Region. Brad reveals to Emma that he has something to settle at the capital, and that's why he's here. When asking for her motivation, he removes the collar around her neck, telling her that she's hiding behind it. Now, she can live however she wants to.

Emma gets off to investigate for ways to open the gate leading out of the region. She gets attacked by a "Purifier". They wear a mask even though purifiers are 'immune' to the blight since they're already infected. After taking off the mask, it only stirs more confusion in Brad and he tells Emma to be careful.

Follow the quest marker to this Ancient Golem. He will tell you that the way to open the gate is by accessing the control panel at the fortress in the middle of the crater.

[2] Get to the fortress.

You can follow the path-like way full of broken tram poles towards the fortress or you may explore around. The other craters contain elite enemies while mobs roam around the rest of this desert-like area.

By the eastern crater, the nearest tram pole will turn right, away from the fortress. Turn left instead and walk to the nearest pole in the direction of the quest marker.

This is the last tram pole before the fortress. Go forward through the entrance. There is another campsite on higher ground in the fortress but it cannot be accessed from here. You will be able to get to it later.

[3] Find the control panel.

Talk to the Ancient Golem and they will tell you where the control panel is.

Follow the quest marker and defeat all the enemies in order to open up the path.

Defeat the purifier to go through the next locked gate. Upon taking off their mask, Emma sees that they have the same face as the one they encountered earlier. Does Shidou possess the same face?

Stay on the path until you reach the control panel. Interact with it to reveal the middle structure that emerges out of the lake.

[4] Get to the center of the fortress.

Grapple to the central structure and climb up. When there is nowhere else to climb, grapple to one of the platforms attached to the fortress wall. Climb up the stairs at the back leading to the fortress perimeter.

You will meet another Purifier elite enemy. Upon defeating them, they turn out to have the same face as the others. Brad presses you to hurry so that you can leave this place behind and get to the next zone. Stay on the path and return to the central structure.

Climb up to the control panel and interact with it. This will open up the gate to the east.

[5] Find the Nushi Lair and defeat Taurus.

Head to the gate and prepare yourself for a boss battle.

This is the a variant of the Nushi you met and battled at the start of Pilgrim's Zone. It moves around a lot and a lot of its attacks must be perfectly dodged. Its weakness is corrosion. In its 2nd phase, it becomes a lot more aggressive. Be careful of its projectiles.

As usual, the Nushi will entangle with Emma and Koo and make them faint. The massive dust that used to fill the air though starts to clear.

[6] Survive the ambush.

Emma wakes up in the walker and Kagura notices that she seems a bit off. Emma says she doesn't feel different so Kagura just decides to feed her well.

Koo will learn the Bloom Art Botan: Chaser II while Emma gains the Blade Finisher: Botan. Go to sleep. The next day, Brad reminds Emma that the river colony is the last colony they will pass through before they reach the capital.

Bauera gets attacked and Emma gets off to defeat the offenders. The golems that show up can blend in with the surroundings. Go further north after defeating the first wave of enemies.

While Emma is away, Bauera gets attacked again. Brad disembarks and makes the cleanse walker charge without him so he can hold off the golems. As he is surrounded, he detonates a bomb on himself and causes a cave-in.

Kunai shows up and admits to killing Brad, saying that she was told by the Administrator she could get what she desired if she got rid of Brad and Emma.

[7] Defeat Kunai and Kirin.

Kunai can unleash regular sword strikes and large vertical slashes when jumping, as well as lightning-based skills. Kirin can release projectiles that have to be perfectly dodged. They are both weak to poison. Kunai is more active, so try to target her.

When her HP is near 0, a cutscene will emerge. Emma will be struck off a cliff and will fall into water.

Emma regains consciousness for a bit and sees Bauera approach her before losing consciousness again. She wakes up again inside the walker, vision still hazy. Kagura tells her that they haven't found Koo yet and Emma responds, showing that she has lost her memories.
