Fear grips our hearts, for although we are no longer human in form, we always found comfort in the sanctity of our human reason.

Those days are gone, for the corrupted are as persistent as they are mindless.

It left us with no recourse. Acid: that was our answer. It corrodes their outer shells and seeps into their internal mechanisms.

The sky is clear today, and it affords me a good
view of the thick smoke rising from the
guard post on the cliffs. I can see it's the
usual white plume, even from here.

I love how it rises and dissolves into the low
clouds hanging above. A beautiful sight, indeed.
I just pray the smoke never turns red.

That reminds me: the golem on watch over there still has the warehouse's blue access key.
Honestly, people these days...Everyone seems to want to be in charge of everything.

I should come up with an excuse to jaunt over and get it back.

I heard the Nushi's lair is accessible from subcity 03. However, opening the path requires three access keys - each held by a different golem.

I've tried to obtain the other two keys, but each trustee has gone their own separate way. I can't contact them. Who would've guessed splitting up the keys would backfire so spectacularly...

I'll have to head out and find the keys myself. This may prove to be a suicide mission, especially going alone. If I am able to meet with the golem from Tailwater village, there might be hope...

I shall head there now. It can be found directly downstream. Keep your spirits high, and fine me should this note find you.

The lightning stones I spent so much effort collecting have been stolen by those thieving golems.
I have but one left to my name...which won't be enough to get past the door.
