What are Chance Encounters in Onimusha Way of the Sword?
Chance Encounters are optional Side Quests in the game. They are marked by Notebook icons scattered across Kyoto. Start one by walking up to the marker and talking to the NPC standing there.
Take note that they don't all show up at once either, since new ones become available as you clear specific Main Quests, so it's worth checking back on your map as you progress.
All 18 Chance Encounter Locations
Most Chance Encounters happen entirely within Kyoto. The NPCs are all found there, and the objectives are completed in the same area. It's worth noting, though, that the Ace Archer questlines are the exception.
