There is No Multiplayer
All past Onimusha games have been a single-player experience. This title will follow its predecessors in that aspect. Currently, there is no multiplayer mode.
The Oni Gauntlet
While the main character, Musashi, is a lone warrior, he also fights using a sentient gauntlet. This gauntlet consumes the souls of fallen enemies and allows Musashi to replenish HP, upgrade his skills, and use weapons that have great damage output.
NPCs
There are NPCs around the world of Onimusha that can give Musashi some side quests and those that help progress the story forward. Look out for them!
Will there be Multiplayer?
Currently, there is no official statement from the developers on whether there will be multiplayer for Onimusha: Way of the Sword.
