How to Beat Daidara

[1] Deflect its attacks to rapidly exhaust stamina.

Musashi deflecting Daidara's charging attack

Daidara hits hard but moves slowly, making its attacks highly predictable. While parrying allows for a quick counterattack, deflecting is more effective as it quickly sets up a Break Issen. Its charging attack is easy to intercept and deflecting three of these fully depletes its stamina.

[2] Absorb dropped souls to prevent it from getting stronger.

Daidara absorbing enough souls to transform

Daidara devours souls to evolve into a more powerful form. Upon transformation, it can also enter the Blazing state to deal more damage and use certain attacks. Absorbing souls that drop right away can delay this from happening.

[3] Shoot or target its armor to leave it open for attacks.

Targeting the armor on a leg with the Oni Bow

Break its armor by focusing attacks on it or using the Oni Bow to stagger the boss.

[4] Target specific areas during Break Issen depending on what you desire.

Target colored spots during Break Issen

Choose a color-coded area during Break Issen based on what is needed during the fight. Target purple areas to gather more souls for healing or aim for red areas to deal greater damage and speed up the fight.
