Benkei Summary
Benkei is a boss encountered in Eastern Kyoto, near Gojo-ohashi Bridge, during the Bloodbath on the Bridge main quest.
Benkei Attack Patterns
The following table lists each attack Benkei uses.

| Leap Slam |  Benkei leaps and crushes the target. |
| Spear Slam |  Crushes the target with an overhead spear slam. |
| Transform |  Transforms and imbues its spear with flames. Benkei also gains access to a second spear. |
| Kick and Smack |  Kicks and smacks the target. |
| Spear Thrust Combo |  Rushes at the target with a spear thrust, then ends the combo with a double spear swing. |
| Double Spear Slam |  Crushes the target with an overhead spear slam, followed by another strike with a second spear. |
| 5-Hit Spear Combo |  Attacks the target with a 5-hit spear combo that ends in a wide sweep. |
| 7-Hit Spear Combo |  Similar to the 5-hit combo, but with extra hits. |
How to Beat Benkei
[1] Break its Armor.
Use Oni Armaments to break the armor quicker.
Once all of its armor is broken, it becomes more vulnerable to attacks.
Learn how to counter its moves with Issen, dodge, and parry.
Be wary of its attacks when the spear's head is imbued with flames, since some of them can only be parried. Failing to parry those costs a lot of stamina.
Once its stamina is depleted, perform Break Issen to deal massive damage (or gain more souls if you prefer that instead).
